Product Guide
Get started
Set up Interface, connect the apps you rely on, and ask your first agent to do real work.
Install Interface
Download Interface for Mac, move it to Applications, and open it. On first launch, sign in or create an account so your workspaces, settings, and connections can follow you.
Grant permissions
Interface asks for macOS permissions only when they are needed for product features. You can review them later in Settings.
| Permission | What it enables |
|---|---|
| Accessibility | Arranging windows, switching apps, and letting approved agent actions use the keyboard and mouse. |
| Screen Recording | Showing previews and letting computer use understand what is visible on screen. |
| Full Disk Access | Finding local documents and importing notes when you explicitly ask Interface to use them. |
Complete onboarding
Onboarding learns the broad shape of how you work: the apps you use, the services you want to connect, and the kinds of agents that will be useful. You can skip optional steps and return to them from Settings.
- Choose the apps and services you want Interface to know about.
- Answer a few questions about the work you want help with.
- Connect accounts such as email, calendar, issue trackers, or source control.
- Review the default agents Interface creates for you.
Run your first task
Open the command palette, start a new chat, and ask for a task with a clear outcome. The best first tasks name the app, page, file, or workspace you want Interface to use.
"Prepare for a meeting with John."
"Address Mark's latest email thread."
"I want to write a song."
